Mark Warren, Project Engineer
Tremont Street is the gateway arterial leading into the City of Port Orchard. The arterial is at capacity and an effort to expand the Tremont Street has been underway since 2005 when the city first received federal funds to complete the design, right of way acquisition, and environmental review. The final project will allow for the expansion of Tremont Street from 2-lanes to 4-lanes, add two roundabouts, bike lanes and sidewalks, and complete utility improvements, and other safety and capacity upgrades.
The City is immensely grateful for the help of our 26th district legislators – Sen. Jan Angel, Rep. Jesse Young, and Rep. Michelle Caldier for all their efforts in representing the Port Orchard community throughout the legislative session.
